Jenn's New Scrap Place

Jennifer and I got together a couple Fridays ago and she worked on christmas cards while I worked on some layouts. She just snagged a great hutch( talked her husband into letting her keep it instead of him taking it to his work) to make her own scrap place and I wanted to share it with everyone. It just goes to show you, you don't need to spend alot to have a great desk and organization. She got the hutch for free, used a board from under a bed mattress and 2 book case to complete her space.

Layout from Novi Crop

Here is a picture of the layout that was done during a round robin at the Novi Crop last weekend. The girls do such a good job. We only did one round robin (where we hand off a picture and paper to the next girl...they have 5 minutes to work on it...and then on to the next girl) that day. We scrapped from 9:30 am to 11 pm. I got 7 other layouts done for my 2006 Reunion album. I will try to post them shortly. We only had 8 girls this time, so wasn't as rumbustious as usual, so maybe that is why I got more done then usual. Was a good time.

Change the date on the next crop??

Thinking we will change the date on the next crop to the 16th of November. Would that work for everyone? And if anyone would like to do the weekend before too, I may be up for it. I will be scrappin alot, I have a few projects I would like to start on. Just let me know.

10-12 Crop Nite

Had another productive night scrappin. Darlene, Brook, Sherry and I scrapped while Meagan worked on a sewing project. She is making a fairy costume. We went to about 12:30 and I got in bed around 1:30 and then woke up at 6:30 and drove up north. Didn't hit me till about 9 pm that night. Maybe we will try for another crop night the 2nd weekend of November. I was thinking I could take a little time and show you guys how to work with some chip board and let you experiment with some.

We had mentioned getting back together this upcoming weekend - Friday Oct 12th to do some more cropping so wanted to let you all know I am still up for it. Jenn, you mentioned you may have to come later and that is fine. So just let me know if you are going to be able to make it. I think I am going to work on a new reunion book (from 2 summers ago) that I have been putting off.

Layouts from SIS Crop

Here are a couple layouts from the crop I attended in Grand Rapids this past weekend. These were done in the Round Robin swap. We would start with a picture and a paper and hand it off to the next person and then they would have a couple minutes to work on it then it would go around to the next person(13 in all). Was a little nerve wacking at first , working on others layouts, but as you can see they turned out great. Especially love Jess's layout. I am not a real frilly scrapbooker, but love this look.

Here are a few layouts that were completed last night at my crop. This was Darlene's first time scrapping and she did great. She had the greatest photos..old time christmas time photos. Brook breezed through her layouts like a pro. I need to get Jenn's pictures of her layouts yet. She got about 6 8x8 pages done. I almost completed one ( I know I'm so slow) and hope to finish the journaling tonight and add to the slide show soon. Looking forward to the next crop in 3 weeks.

This is the latest layout I did. Quite an easy layout and the picture just makes it. Tylers aunt, Michelle Taylor took the picute of Tyler with her dog looking out her studio window.

September Crop

I will be having a crop at my home on September 21st. Cost will be 3.00 each. It is a Friday night and find that usually works best for all, time to unwind from a hectic week and no need to wake up early in the morning for work. It will start around 6pm and go till midnight. We will work on our individual projects and visit and munch the night away. For any of you newbies to scrapbooking, I can tell you what products you will need to start and give you advice on how to plan a layout. You shouldn't need to much to begin. I do have a paper cutter, idea books, die cut machine (The Cricut-above) and stamps for your use. I also have a stash of papers, sticker, albums and etc in a reduced price bin you could pick from. The cost covers snacks and use of the die cut machine (the blades and pads need replacing frequently). Please email me or place a comment here, if you can make it that night, and if you have a friend you would like to bring..the more the merrier.

Using circles on layouts

Lastest layout I did. Loving circles on a page at the moment, and rubons. Also trying to use more of my handwriting which I don't really like so hard for me to do.
