Friday Crop Nite

Here are a few layouts that were completed last night at my crop. This was Darlene's first time scrapping and she did great. She had the greatest photos..old time christmas time photos. Brook breezed through her layouts like a pro. I need to get Jenn's pictures of her layouts yet. She got about 6 8x8 pages done. I almost completed one ( I know I'm so slow) and hope to finish the journaling tonight and add to the slide show soon. Looking forward to the next crop in 3 weeks.

Mom and I had so much fun and look forward to doing it in the past. We got to go to Joanns Saturday, so we will have more with us next time. Dad even came shopping with us. Thanks for a great night.

I found a book for my scrapbook pages of Kyler's birth. Yeah:) It's really cute...Light blue with a band of dark brown ribbon coming down the side, and the main part has small poka dots on it all in the colors of the pages I did. How cute:) I got it at Target for $9.99 it's a 8x8 book to fit the 8x8 pages. Yeah! I have all the other pages all ready to scrap, in the order I want them to go, and the colors all laid out in order for each page. I'm just digging in boxes now to find a couple of photos that have been missplaced...then all I have to do is crop each layout for the pages...yeah:) I stayed up till midnight the other night when the kids went to bed, and got all that done!
Jan do you have to use those little stickers for putting pictures on pages or can you also use the photo glue? I was just courious...it seems like the glue would go a long way but wasn't sure if you can use it on the photos to attach to the papers or whatever...Let me know...i'm trying to buy things everytime i'm out and about shopping...so that i'm not spending so much at one time...:)
Also is it the 19th of Oct when your next crop class is? Just checking...:)
Oh and one more question...if I was to buy one of those paper/photo trimmers what kind do you recomend me getting and where is the best cheapest place to find something like that? I'm thinking if I had one here at home I could do a lot of cropping when the boy's are in bed sleeping or when Carson is napping in the afternoons...:)

Hi everyone. First Jenn.... I just copied your layouts from your site and pasted them here. And when you come over next time we will take a look at the Nurse page. Yeh probably needs something. On the trimmer, the Fiskars is fine ( most are simlar) and they always go on sale or use a coupon on them.
I think we mention moving the next crop up to the 12th, does that work??
Darlene... I don't mind showing you the ropes, I really enjoy it and love having someone around to scrap with. Please let Sherry know she is welcome to come next time.
Brook...yeh Bri is right, Joanns can be deadly. There is just to much cute stuff. I never buy anything unless it is on sale or without a coupon. It justifies my obsession!!

Just let me know if the 12th works for you all.

Oh by the way ScrapTales in Brighton is having a garage sale this weekend. People are taking up some of their older scrap stuff for sale. I just took up a box full. So you might want to check it out.

when does the sale start at scraptales and where is it at excactly? I'd love to go to it...anyone else want to go along? I might have to take all three kids with me if Ryan will be working so I could use an extra hand to help watch the kids if I make it out...I'd be willing to drive...but if I had all three boy's would only have room for two or three to fit comfortably...but then again...I am supose to have th in-laws coming this weekend so perhaps Ryan's step dad would watch the older two boy's and just me and my mother in law would go out with Carson...she loves to shop...so that might work...I hope...:) Yes Jan that's been one of my motoes...only buy if it's on sale...I even have the kids trained that way! They know when we go grocery shopping I only buy the cereal that's on sale!:) haha...
Thanks for the input on the trimmer...maybe I would find one at the sale over the weekend...:) I might just wait and see what I find there...
I'll have to let you know about the 12th...I of course want to come...but it depends on if Ryan will be home from work if I make it and when I would get to make it...:( So I'll let you know as it gets closser to that date...

ScrapTales is on Grand River just across from Michigan Group Real Estate offices. It is on Sat and Sun. I may hit it on Sunday, but not really sure. Depends when I get back from Grand Rapids.

Thanks Jan, I am most likely going on Sat want to go early to hit the good stuff...hopeing to find a decent paper/photo trimmer...and some other items...Ryan ended up going golfing again last night...(he induldged and bought himself a new set of golf clubs, so I am not feeling guilty for spending money on scrapping haha...) So when he called me last night to tell me he was going golfing, I said to him, remember Sat I want to go to Brighton to that sale at scraptales...and that it wasn't a place for kids...hahaha...he said ok...:)
