Jenn's New Scrap Place

Jennifer and I got together a couple Fridays ago and she worked on christmas cards while I worked on some layouts. She just snagged a great hutch( talked her husband into letting her keep it instead of him taking it to his work) to make her own scrap place and I wanted to share it with everyone. It just goes to show you, you don't need to spend alot to have a great desk and organization. She got the hutch for free, used a board from under a bed mattress and 2 book case to complete her space.

Hey Jan,
I haven't found any of the green blank cards...I picked up a couple different ones I found that are Ivory and White, but not too excitted about them with the brown paper bags...so I'm going to keep looking...I only went to Micheals...I forgot to go into JoAnn's...is that where you said you got yours at?
Look's like you had a nice Thanksgiving with Bri, Mike and Tyler. That's nice.
I was able to find a 12x12 album for our yearly family get togethers with Ryan's family that i'm going to put all our photos into. I have a couple pages done on that. I need to get some more out doorsie papers...Talk to you soon.

Jenn I got them at Joann's in a pack of 50 Christmas card. When I was in there last week I didn't see any though. They had some Christmas glitter ones, but didn't really care for them.
If you got the white one, you could always matte the gingerbread with red or green. They have paper on sale this week I think.
Good Luck.

well the white cards I bought I could only find in a 4x5 card size, I thought about that too but when I tried that the card is too small...to save time I pre-cut all the brown paper bags out all the same size, then ironed all of them, to make them look nice, then I did the stencil on all of them, and then I made all the Christmas Spice sayings on them and then attached them to the Christmas papers that you had given to me and then put on the hollys...so I had them all pre-made before I bought the cards, and measured them so that I'd just have a little bit of the card showing on the outer edge...hopeing that i'd find green or red cards...oh well...I'll stop by there again maybe they will re-stock them...
Talk to you soon...

well I had a great day...went to JoAnn's got some christmas papers, the big huge pack that was on sale for $29.00, well the manager at the check out line gave it to me for $17.99 because they had it in the wrong place on the shelfs stocked so I thought it was included in the 40% off cardstock papers...how cool is that! I was so excitted! I got another huge pack for $11.99 of earthtone colors, and also a pack of bigger white blank cards with envelopes...only when I got them home I didn't like the looks of the bigger card, so I ended up fudgeing the smaller 4x5's that I had and added red/green christmas papers behind the gingerbreads to make it fit to card size...then I used a Happy Holiday's stamp I got at Micheals when I stoped there on Black Friday, that I got for a buck. I got them all finished tonight and they look cute. I'll address them soon...then get them in the mail the middle of Dec...
Talk to you soon.

Carson's eatting baby food now number 2 jar's and will soon be into the taller number 3 jars, I have been keeping a stach of the empty jars and they make good emblesishment jars for all your little emblesishments...on the top two middle shelfs of my hutch in the pic you can see some of the jars i'm using for mine...I've painted the lids to make them color coated. But i'm sure there's other options you can do...if anyone would want any jars let me know...He goes through about 2 jars a day now so not a big deal. And it's a cheap way to store scrapbooking items...:)

I did some house cleaning on my blog last night so it's not bad like it was! Jess saw it all messed up..it was crazy...oh well it's lookin better then it was...still not all that crazy about it but wanted to do something different...need to take some photos of the kids to post on here by our tree...it's getting them motivated to do it first! ha:)
Yeah i've done some work in my new space...I got all the pages cut for my book i'm doing on our honeymoon and pics all cut..just need to do all the layouts for them...want to get some more embelishments for it first. I put those on my christmas list this year for my mom and sister...so hopefully I get a lot of really neat things...I bet your excitted to go to Jess'...won't be long! I'll be jealious while your in the sun having fun, i'll be freezin my butt off trying to keep warm! ha:) We did get one of those eletric gas furnace's for the basement. WE needed to as it was like 61-62 degrees down there...now it's about 70-72 depending on how high we set it too. Works pretty good. Got it at TSC for about $180.00, not sure how much it cost to have the guy install it for us. We already had the gas line so I know it wasn't too much. Hopefully it will soon pay off. Well I need to work on a few things here before Carson gets up from his nap...Talk to you soon.
