Oh Boy

Here is my latest layout. I have been pretty good about getting a couple layouts or projects done a week.

I even went through alot of my papers and stickers, etc and purged a bunch of supplies. So next time a few of you come over ask to look in my purge pile! Also have been having fun with my new tool, the cropadile that Bri and Mike gave me for Christmas. Punching chip board like crazy, and this weekend punched through some tin buckets. Hmm...what can I punch next??

Characters in Costumes

Finally finished my little project done. This is my first attempt at an altered book. It was fun! The hardest part was figuring out which photos to add. I knew I wanted to use the papers from Out and About from My Minds Eye so then thought Halloween photos would goes best.

Layouts of my favorite subjects!

The first 2 layout here are from the crop I went to in Grand Rapids a couple weekends ago. It was the group from the online SIS site. We had 7 girls show up. So not a large group, but was at a new store and had a really nice crop area.

These are pictures Brianna took last Easter. So cute, reminds me of my girls when they would hunt for Easter eggs in Florida, sprinting across the yard. We had to put a limit on how many eggs each one could find, or one would end up with none because the others would be faster.

I have a hard time doing pink pages, I am just not into pink I guess. But with a new granddaughter just have to give them a try.
This one I did the night the girls were over a few weeks ago. I stole Brianna's idea of the thin circle on the layout. Adds a neat accent.

A Few Layouts

This is a layout I did a while ago and finally posting. I just love these pics of Jess and the kids. Another one I just did was with some older photos of Brianna and Jess.

I went through all my photo albums and pulled out a bunch of older photos to scrap. Had a good time scrapping last weekend. Jenn and Les and her girls stayed till the wee hours. The girls even got into it, they made a few cards. I will post my layouts I did from that night soon. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the other girls layout so I can post. Leslie is really getting back into it, and Jenn is working on a few Christmas projects. She just finished a baby book for Carson....in 2 days!! It turned out really cute. Here is one page from it.

Playing around Scrapblog again

I was bored and started playing with Scrapblog again. They have added quite a few more themes. I guess you can print these now with a pro membership. Kinda neat, but
I still like playing and cutting with actual paper,

Catching up on Journaling

I spent half the day yesterday catching up on journaling some of my older albums. I used to be so bad at not doing the journaling after I finished a layout. Now I don't mind so much. I have vowed not to do a new layout until I get all caught up. Hopefully I will finish by this weekend , cuz I want to go to a crop this weekend. The online group I belong to is getting together again this Saturday in Grand Rapids. I'll see how the work week goes and hopefully can make it. Anyone interested in going?
I am trying out the updated Picasa and they have a lot of new features. This collage features is one of them. I love the picture of the Pinney Women. Thanks to Steve Hathaway scanning an old picture.

New Layouts

These few layouts are from pictures from Brianna and Jessica. I was in the mood to do an orange layout and these pictures were perfect. The whole layout was done with paper & embellishments from Target dollar spot. Journaling reads "After months of Waiting.
The above layout is done with Jessica photos she took while she was in Alabama in May. I just love the top picture of Tyler. Journaling:
1 for the money, 2 for the show, 3 to get ready, and, 4 to go

I went through some older photos and found this one when Tyler was at my house and just learning to crawl. Just love the look on his face! Journal reads: My darling adorable Determined grandchild. When you started to crawl, you did so as you do everything determined. Sure it wasn't pretty at first, but after many attempts of rocking back and forth, and going no where you finally got it. I hope as you go through life, you find with a little determination, anything is possible. Tyler 2006.

Before and After..........

I found this by the side of the road about a year ago. It was a Post Office hutch that sat on a low table. I talked them into just selling the hutch for about 40.00 and has been sitting in my garage since. The top and the sides are oak, and the inside is pine. Finally stripped it and did a little restaining, wiped some Murphy's Oil, added some shelves and with the help of Mikes Moving Service ( Mike T and Mike Z) getting it down into my basement.....

TA DA...................................................................

A perfect scrapbook hutch !! It is sitting on my oak desk I had. The stains don't match but know matter how hard I tried I could not lighten up the wood. You should've seen the nails that came out of the thing. They must of been a least a hundred years old.

I found some great plastic storage that has hinge tops on them- 3 for 2.49 (which I may paint all one color) and jars at IKEA for the cubby holes. I am planning on picking up a few more. I will put my embellishments up there. The nook (center pic) to the right will be a space for the latest and great books, center for flowers and ( right pic) the left side will be for my pages in progress. The shelves are larger than 12x12 so will work out perfect. Now I want to paint the walls...........Hmm....what color??
